River Plantation RV Resort, near Pigeon Forge

Spent the night at River Plantation RV Resort. Selected for location after the National Park Campground (Elkmont) was full (weekend). On the way down (from over 2,000 foot elevation to about 950 feet), drove down the main drag of Pigeon Forge, TN (home to Dollywood) and encountered tremendous traffic. Initially had concerns about staying in a RV Park right off that highway (US441), even though a couple miles outside of Pigeon Forge. Concerns for naught. Nice campground, well run, great showers, cable TV and quiet. Reminded us a lot of Riverside RC Resort that we stayed at near Port Charlotte, FL back in January. Seems like mostly 5th wheels and travel trailers - we were the only Class B in the park. A couple of Class CS, maybe two or three dozen Class As in almost 300-sites occupied. Recommended.
