Cheatham Annex Navy Base near Williamsburg

Enjoying warm (and dry) weather at Cheatham Annex Navy Base near Williamsburg. Applied lessons learned from last year:

1. The only site with shade (out of 50 sites) also has the worst WiFi reception. Not that the free WiFi is great (it is Navy, and free = cumbersome). Upon check in, we asked for the site across from the WiFi antenna.

2. When we left to play golf this morning, we deployed the “Reserved Parking for Sprinty” sign/cone that we made up after coming back from golf last year to find someone else in our spot. Came back from golf today and our sign was where we left it. Ought to be, only about 15-20 campers here.

Tonight, Sprinty took us to an Italian restaurant for pizza. Normally pizza is a Sunday dinner tradition, Kris and Darrell elected to watch the conclusion of the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass on TV (did we mention that the Navy campground includes cable tv?) last night. And they did not want to compete with families treating moms to dinner on Mother’s Day. So off to Marizio’s Italian Restaurant located just outside the entrance to Kingsmill, where the Ladies LPGA tournament is being held this week. The hostess seated us - right next to the table with Ariya and Moriya Jutanugarn and another LPGA golfer.
