Farewell Sprinty

It is with mixed emotion that we announce that Sprinty has officially been adopted by Brendo and Irene of Winston, GA.

Relieved that Sprinty was able to find a good home in a soft RV market.  Somewhat saddened that a member of the family has left the nest.

Sprinty has been our traveling companion for just over 6-1/2 years.  He has traveled over 100,000 miles (100,000 smiles?), camping 861 nights, camped in each of the Lower 48 states and five of the Canadian Provinces.  Sprinty also visited 33 of the 63 National Parks, traveled in four RV caravans and attended many rallys.

The stories Sprinty has told

Sprinty even tackled roads he probably shouldn't have (like climbing to the top of Brian's Head in Utah; driving Artists Palette loop in Death Valley NP; driving on the original Natchez Trace road covered in leaves); visited the lowest point in North America, Badwater Basin in Death Valley NP (282 feet below sea level); camped near 10,000 feet elevation near Leadville, CO; and traveled to over 12,000 feet elevation in Rocky Mountain NP.

Location of photos taken during Sprinty’s travels

Throughout his service to the Van Hutten's wanderings, he only threw a check engine light twice, and only once needed a repair shop for the Roadtrek portion.  Truely a rock solid adventure mobile.

Sprinty set a high bar for wandering and adventure, one that Sir Gonalot will have to work hard to equal.

Just a few photos of Sprinty taken on our travels over the years.
